Around 36% of the bee colony in Europe had been lost due to Colony Collapse disorder (CCD) by 2007. Since one third of agricultural crops depend on cross-fertilization, the problem is serious.
Honey bees collect pollen from plants. Through this instinctive action, bees pollinate flowers and maintain the local eco-system. Similarly, humans can be involved in this eco-system through their diet. Traditional honey hunting can connect nature and humans.
Although architecture cannot create nature itself, it can provide the equipment to connect the natural system and human beings through their instinctive action.
